Base Jack

A Base Jack (also known as a Jack Base or Adjustable Base Jack) is an essential component in scaffolding systems. It serves as the foundation for scaffolding structures, providing both stability and height adjustment. The base jack is placed at the bottom of vertical scaffold tubes (standards), ensuring the scaffolding is level and can bear the load of the structure and workers.

Height Adjustability: A base jack consists of a threaded rod, allowing for precise height adjustments to level the scaffolding, especially on uneven ground or surfaces.

The adjustable nature ensures that each scaffold standard can be independently leveled to create a stable base.

Base Plate: The base of the jack has a flat plate, often perforated for securing to the ground or wooden boards (sole plates). This plate distributes the load evenly and prevents sinking into soft or unstable ground.

Material: Made from high-strength steel, base jacks are designed to support heavy loads and resist deformation under pressure. They are often galvanized or coated to prevent corrosion.
