Shikanja

Shikanja (also known as Scaffolding Clamp or Scaffolding Coupler) is a key component in scaffolding systems, used to join and secure tubes or pipes at various angles and positions. It plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity and stability of scaffolding during construction, renovation, or repair work. Shikanjas are commonly used to connect horizontal, vertical, or diagonal tubes, ensuring that the scaffolding is safe and capable of withstanding heavy loads.

Types of Shikanjas (Scaffolding Clamps):

Right-Angle Shikanja (Fixed Clamp): This type of shikanja is used to connect two tubes at a 90-degree angle, typically for the cross-sections between vertical and horizontal scaffolding tubes. It ensures a strong and stable connection.

Swivel Shikanja (Rotating Clamp): A swivel shikanja allows for the joining of two tubes at any angle, offering flexibility in construction. It is especially useful for connecting diagonal bracing tubes that need to be adjusted at various angles.

Putlog Shikanja: Used to attach horizontal tubes to vertical scaffolding poles, putlog shikanjas are commonly used in supported scaffolding to secure the working platform to the structure.

Sleeve Shikanja (Coupler): This type of shikanja is used to join two tubes end-to-end, ensuring continuity in the scaffolding structure. It is commonly used when longer lengths of tubing are required.

Gravlock Shikanja: A specialized clamp used for connecting scaffold tubes to steel beams. Gravlock clamps provide extra strength and security in construction projects involving steel structures.
